Dolls House Quiet Book Sew Along – Day 1 GIVEAWAY

Dolls House Quiet Book Sew Along – Day 1 GIVEAWAY

Hello! And welcome to the Dolls House Quiet Book Sew Along – Day 1 GIVEAWAY. I am so excited to host my first ever sew along. Have you seen all the wonderful Dolls Houses already popping up in the Rebecca Page PDF Pattern Group? The talent and creativity there is astounding!

But, you didn’t think I was gonna let you do all the sewing, did you? Nope! I’ll be sewing right along with you! I have been so inspired by all of those Dolls Houses in the group, I decided to make another one!  I will also be sharing some new ideas to embellish the Dolls House. Also, some alternative rooms to make with the pattern pieces already provided with the Dolls House Quiet Book.

So let’s get started!

Dolls House Quiet Book Sew Along

Day 1

Today is all about printing and cutting. This project is the ultimate scrap buster! Rummage through all of your scraps today to find the perfect pieces for your one-of-a-kind Dolls House. BTW: I actually really loved this part. It was so much fun, remembering all the past sewing projects that produced my scrap pile in the first place <3

Get the kids involved

Make your child a part of the ‘designing’ process, and let him/her help pick out fabrics. Watch the excitement grow as they help plan their Dolls House Quiet Book. In addition, let them help with cutting (if they are old enough to manage scissors). The accessories pieces don’t have to be 100% perfect. This helps inspire creative thinking and anticipation of the finished Dollhouse. It also works on their motor skills (if working with scissors). Parenting WIN! 😀

Here is my daughter, picking out fabric from my scrap bin. She is so excited for her Dolls House! <3

  • Rebecca Page PDF Pattern Group on Facebook. This is a great place to share ALL of your Rebecca page makes. As well as ask questions and receive/offer support in sticky sewing situations.
