NEW Bayside Romper

NEW Bayside Romper

Unless you’ve been living under a rock lately, you know that rompers are all the rage right now. So, the release of the NEW Bayside Romper for Girls from New Horizons Designs is exciting news! 😀

The Bayside Romper comes with about a million options (ok……maybe not THAT many, but there are a LOT!) And, with so many options there really is a look for every occassion. So, I’ve sewn up 2 versions for your viewing pleasure. The playful and carefree version (seen above), perfect for a fun day of play. Then, there’s the more formal look (see below) for special occasions.

The Playful and Carefree Romper

For this version of the Bayside Romper, I went with the shorts option with short sleeves for a fun Summer play outfit. The drawstring (which is totally optional) is a fun detail that adds to the casual feel of this romper. And….POCKETS! What little girl doesn’t love pockets to collect treasures in?

I used the most adorable floral jersey, purchased from the Raspberry Creek Fabrics CLUB Line last year. While I’m pretty sure this particular design is sold out by now, Raspberry Creek always seems to have new looks featured in their shop. Can’t wait to get my hands on some!

The back of the Bayside Romper features an easy breezy crossover style. I LOVE this feature! So pretty, and super duper easy to sew. Makes a big impact, too 😉

 The Special Occasion Bayside Romper

For this one, I went with the knee-length, curved hem skirt and flutter sleeves. I just can’t get over how pretty she looks in this version. This lovely floral fabric is liverpool, also purchased from Raspberry Creek. It adds just right amount of structure to the dress without making it look too stiff and ridged.

The same crisscross back feature looks even sweeter when paired with the flutter sleeves. The flutter sleeves are in a white double brushed poly (DBP for short). DBP has a bit of drapiness to it that helps the flutter sleeves ‘flutter’ more than liverpool would.

This dress would be perfect to wear for dinner at a fancy restaurant, weddings (it is wedding season, after all), or church, just to name a few……

I can really see this pattern going a long way for her. Perfect staple for Summer, but will be just as comfy under a cardigan for Fall. And, with the Women’s version that recently released as well, matching Mommy and Me outfits are likely in our future.

If you wanted to get your hands on the Bayside Romper, head on over to New Horizons website and pick it up while it’s still on sale! Be sure to browse the rest of the shop as well. So many fabulous patterns in one place!

Happy sewing!
