Mommy and Me for Fall

If you’re a follower here, you know I’m a big fan of New Horizons Designs. I’ve recently been participating in the 5000k Bingo game over at New Horizons Designs Fb Group. They are celebrating 5000+ members with more joining everyday! As such, they are offering some pretty irresistible prize packages for Bingo winners. Got my fingers crossed for a BINGO!

One of the entries I made for this game was inspired by projects I’ve seen over at the Raspberry Creek Fabrics Fb Group. With Fall approaching, flannel and french terry are in high demand. They are both so super warm and cozy for cooler Fall weather. But who would have thought to combine the two? Well the ladies over at Raspberry Creek Fabrics did! And I didn’t hesitate to jump on that bandwagon!

I wanted a nice, comfortable top that would be great for snuggling up on the couch with a hot cup of cocoa, but also look nice enough to wear out and about town. New Horizon’s Riviera Raglan pattern was perfect for this project. It’s definitely a favorite of mine with it’s many options, but for this top I went with the basics. I used Robert Kaufmen Buffalo Check Flannel for the front panel and Oatmeal French Terry for the rest; both from Raspberry Creek Fabrics, of course 😉 I sized up from my normal size to get that cozy, over-sized sweater look and I absolutely LOVE how it turned out 😀

The flower pin was for the Bingo game 😉

And, so did Liam! When he saw me trying on my new cozy top, he requested one just like it! So, of course I delivered. I used the same Waffle Tee raglan (from the Sewing Rabbit) I’ve been sewing so much for him lately, but lengthened it slightly and added the bottom band. And just look how happy he is. What a goofball <3

Who says Mommy and Me outfits were just for girls? Matching Mommy and Me tops for me and Liam 😀

But wait! We couldn’t leave out little sister! She gets one too. Only she requested purple with a hoodie. The Lisse Hoodie from New Horizons came through on this one (plus, it worked for another bingo entry – win, win!). I used the Eggplant French Terry from Raspberry Creek.

Wish me luck for a BINGO. I need more fabric! Lol!

Happy Fall everyone! <3
