Remember that adorable little Peeka tee I did for Anna a while back? Here’s a pic to refresh your memory:
Well guess what… Kerry from Unfancy Designs is now offering it in women’s sizes! Yup. And I got to be a part of her testing group again. 😀
The details- So just like the girls’ Peeka, this one comes with options. The women’s pattern includes 2 views:
- View A: A more fitted “not-so-basic” tee with open peeka-boo-shoulder (hense the name)
- View B: This version has a back yoke with inverted pleat, a curved hem, and of course the peak-a-boo shoulder.
- Sizes range from XS-XXXL
In addition to the 2 views, you also have 3 sleeve lengths to choose from: short sleeve, 3/4 length, or long. Perfect for all seasons.
As a stay-at-home mom, I wanted a shirt that’s casual enough for everyday wear, but trendy enough to look like I didn’t just roll out of bed. So for my shirt, I went with the basics. I chose to do the fitted view A with a long sleeve in a contrasting color. I am, as they say, vertically challenged so I did have to alter the length a tad, but otherwise the fit is perfect. I must say, I’m impressed at how well it turned out! The Peeka will be a staple in my wardrobe for sure 😀
I have to admit, I didn’t pick out the material for my shirt. I was standing there looking at my pile of fabric and couldn’t make up my mind. Too much to chose from! Liam, my 8 year old, walks up and says, “Mom, you like pink” and points at this Roseberry Pink Heathered French Terry from Raspberry Creek.
Wow! He made it seem so easy, ha! I actually love his selections too. Way to go, Liam! He immediately dubbed this my “Strawberry Poptart shirt.” I guess it looks like a strawberry poptart with sprinkles. Lol! Silly boy <3
The Women’s Peeka pattern is available now for a special intro price of $5.50. Even better? The Peekas are also available in a Mom and Me bundle for just $10. These intro prices are running this week only, so be sure to go pick up your Peeka pattern(s) now!
Happy sewing! 😀
